Amity Project Submission Checklist: Everything to Verify Before You Submit
Before you hand in your Amity project report, run through this complete checklist covering content, formatting, plagiarism, signatures and digital submission requirements.
Content Checklist
Verify every chapter is complete and in the correct sequence. Check that your research objectives from Chapter 3 are answered in your findings (Chapter 7) and conclusions (Chapter 8). Every table and figure must be referenced in the text ('As shown in Figure 6.3…') — do not insert visuals without discussing them. Every claim in your analysis must be supported by data from your survey or secondary sources.
- Abstract covers purpose, method, key findings and conclusion in one paragraph
- Introduction includes background, problem statement and chapter outline
- All stated research objectives are addressed in Findings/Conclusion
- Literature review cites at least 20–30 sources and identifies the research gap
- Methodology states research design, data type, sample size, sampling method and analysis tools
- Data Analysis chapter has a table or chart for each major survey question
- Every chart and table has a number, title and source line
- Conclusion directly answers your research questions
- Limitations and suggestions for future research are included
- Bibliography matches all in-text citations — no orphaned references
- Questionnaire is in the Annexure
Formatting Checklist
Formatting errors cause immediate requests for revision. Guides and department coordinators check formatting first because it is the most visible indicator of whether guidelines were followed.
- Font: Times New Roman 12pt or Arial 11pt throughout (check tables and captions too)
- Line spacing: 1.5 for body text
- Margins: 1.25 inch left, 1 inch top/bottom/right
- Preliminary pages numbered in Roman numerals (i, ii, iii)
- Body chapters numbered from 1
- Page numbers consistent and correctly placed
- Chapter headings follow numbering convention (1.0, 1.1, 1.1.1)
- Cover page has programme name, title, student name, enrollment number, guide name, campus, year
- Declaration and Certificate pages are present
- Table of Contents matches actual page numbers
- All figures listed in List of Figures; all tables in List of Tables (if more than 5)
- Reference style consistent throughout (APA or Chicago, not mixed)
Academic Integrity Checklist
- Plagiarism report obtained from Turnitin or approved tool
- Overall similarity score below your program's limit (typically 10% PG / 15% UG)
- High-similarity passages verified as either properly quoted or paraphrased with citation
- Bibliography section does not include plagiarism checker reference itself
- Declaration of Originality is signed and dated by the student
- Certificate page signed by project guide
- No copied diagrams — all ER diagrams, flowcharts, DFDs drawn by the student (BCA)
Physical and Digital Submission Checklist
Amity submission requirements vary by campus and semester, but the following apply broadly across programs. Confirm the exact requirements with your department coordinator well before the deadline.
- Printed and spiral-bound or hard-bound copy (as per department requirement)
- Separate CD/PDF copy on the hard-bound copy's inside cover (if required)
- Digital PDF uploaded to Amity student portal (if applicable)
- Guide signature on the printed copy obtained before submission
- All pages in the correct order, with no missing pages
- Two copies prepared if department requires one for guide and one for department
- Submitted before the deadline (not on the deadline day — systems may be slow)
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
How many copies of the Amity project report do I need to submit?
Requirements vary by campus and program. Most Amity programs require one hard-bound copy for the department and one for the project guide, plus a digital PDF upload to the portal. Some programs require a spiral-bound interim copy and a hard-bound final copy. Confirm with your department coordinator.
What happens if I miss the Amity project submission deadline?
Missing the submission deadline typically results in a grade deduction or, in serious cases, the project being marked as Not Submitted (NS) which requires resubmission in the next academic session. Apply for an extension well in advance if you know you cannot meet the deadline — most guides will grant extensions if asked before the deadline, not after.
Do I need to submit a soft copy of my Amity project report?
Most Amity campuses now require a PDF soft copy uploaded to the Amity student portal or submitted on a CD along with the printed report. This is used for the plagiarism check and digital record keeping. Confirm the exact requirement with your department, as portal submission workflows vary by campus.
